I am not sore!

Let's get ready to rumble.....

I am soooo excited that Ethan is getting ready to play football. We all have been waiting on this
for a couple of years now. Ethan had his 1st practice on Monday night and I had so much fun watching him. He made sure Mom was ALWAYS watching his every move and tackle! I made sure that I gave him the thumbs up everytime he looked over. He was so proud and so anxious to learn. Well he thinks he knows everything about football already...lol And those of you who really know my son knows what I am talking about. Ha Ha

So as soon as practice was over my boy said " I am not sore! Dad said I was gonna be sore! I can run 137 MORE miles!!!" Ha I said boy you don't know what your talking about. Well he is normally the first one up and that morning he slept in until after 9am. I asked him if he was sore? He said "No I am not sore, I am just stiff!" Ha that's funny I said isn't that kinda the same thing? He said no. Well later that day he was walking slow and I said come on Grandpa. He said "Hey you don't know what it's like, well when you play football you get SORE!!!" The next night he had practice again and he said it was good but 10 times better than last night.

I will post his picture in a couple weeks when we get his uniform this is just his practice one.
LET'S GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Creation's

New creation,
born again,
Christ has freed
your heart from sin.
By His Spirit,
free to be
all that God
wants you to be.
Free to love
and free to live
this New Life
He died to give.
Live it now abundantly,
this side of eternity.
Filled with grace
that you received
from the One
whom you believed,
trust the promises
He's made
from the moment
you first prayed.
July 20th 2008 what a awesome day for our family!!! Our girls were baptized
at Alliance Community Fellowship, Fort Worth, TX by Pastor Nathan Tucker.
I am so proud of the young women these two are growing to be. And look
forward to watching them and helping them grow in their Faith and walk with
God. It was very special because Dave was asked to read Matthew 3:13-17 before
the girls were baptized.
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried
to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?"
Jesus replied, " Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fufill all righteousness."
Then John consented.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven
was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

The BEST views of the vacation!!!

How AWESOME is our God??? I just sit in awe at the beach.
I can never get enough of the beauty that our creator has given
us. As I get older I have noticed how much I really enjoy nature
and there are soo many beautiful things to be thankful for!
Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;
let them sing before the the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.
Psalms 98:7-9

BOOGIE BOARDING!!!!

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND!!!

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach
with the Lord. Many scenes from my life
flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that
during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering
from anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints ...
... so I said to the Lord,
" You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you."

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND July 08th - July 11th 2008

South Padre Island was our FAVORITE!!!! We will make sure we go back as soon as possible. In these pics all the girls are laying out, Chloe trying to take a nap, playing in the sand, Ethan sand boarding and up close to some rescued sea turtles. We adopted a hatchling that day and named it " Freedom". You can see in these pictures how the first day was rough waters and murky water but by the next day the water was clear and blue. This was a awesome vacation where many memories were made and won't be forgotten. WE LOVE SOUTH PADRE!!!!!!!

Corpus Christi, TX July 07, 2008

Corpus Christi, Mustang Island, Padre Island & Port Aransas is where we went today. This was the very 1st time Ethan & Chloe ever saw the ocean. It was raining on and off and the tide was really strong. I love the kids attitude and always have a good time even when it's not "picture perfect" like Mom wants it!!! We still had a good time and we also rode the ferry, which Kelsie wasn't too fond of. This one was different than the one we rode on in NC. Everyone else really liked it and thought it was cool. The sand castle was really cool and was supporrting all the branches of the military. Ethan is holding a hermit crab that was on the bay side of Corpus Christi. The kids thought it was really cool to find all the crabs in the different shells.
