Let's PLAY BALL!!!!!
We had a VERY busy weekend!!!!Ethan had his 1st
game on Sat. His first 2 games were cancelled and then
a make up game was cancelled so FINALLY we got to play
some ball. His team is the Reds. Couldn't we have been the
CARDINALS!!!!
Strike 1!!! Oh well. He does have a GREAT swing though.
He is happy that he has his Uncle Petey's #9 this year.
Fort Worth Stockyards April 04 2009
Fort Worth Stockyards with Rita! While Kyle was at his camp we took Rita downtown to watch the cattle drive and to do some shopping before we headed to Springtown to watch Kyle ride. We always have a good time there. Chloe saw the little pony and wants one now. I am thinking we need some land!!! Wished Rita had more time to visit than just a day. We could have done ALOT more shopping! lol
Watching Kyle Seals Bull Ride
We spent this weekend with Rita & Kyle Seals. Kyle attended a Bull Riding Camp with Scott Mendez (World Champion Bull Rider '97) in Springtown, TX. The whole family had soooo much fun and Chloe cannot stop talking about the bulls and Kyle riding! And Ethan REALLY wants to learn how to ride now. There were a few little guys Ethan's age there learning. Even the "City" girls aka Kelsie & Courtnie had a good time!!! Yes they were even feeding and petting one of the bulls. I was very proud of Kyle, he does a REALLY good job. I do believe one day we will have a champion bull rider in our family! We told them they just need to move down here and we could have this much fun every weekend!!! lol I was also VERY impressed with Scott. He truly has a passion for these boys and I loved watching how he ministers to them. Spur'n 4 Jesus! LOVE IT! I am sure they will see alot of us in the future.

Chloe's "new" look
Well the day has finally came!!! Should I say the dreaded day for Momma. My sweet little Chloe has cut her OWN hair!!!! She is 3 years, 2 months and 18 days old and decided to give herself a haircut. Daddy is just thrilled and Momma is sooooo sad. Her hair was getting so long and Momma wanted her hair all one length. I wasn't ready for the bang look!!! I am thankful that she ONLY cut her bangs and didn't cut her hair like Kelsie did REALLY short. All she said was "Well you didn't get me a haircut!" Thanks to Daddy that tells her that she needs one EVERYDAY!!!! Thanks Dad. She is still just adorable as can be but we will be growing these back out...lol

We miss you Daddy!
.jpg)
As our weekend was so fun of exciting things, it also would have been my Daddy's birthday. Kelsie got the puppy of her dreams, Courtnie had her 1st BIG dance and I was grateful for this weekend. As we were coming home from church I was talking to Courtnie and we were talking about the weekend and told her it was also my Dad's birthday had she remembered? As I look out in the field and am thinking of my Dad just missing him sooooo much. I almost start to tear up but I hear God say to me " My child do not shed another tear for he is with me!" WOW! This is what I needed to hear. And I didn't shed a tear because I know that someday I will see both my Fathers in Heaven and oh what a day that will be!!!!
I have finally realized that I need to slow down so I can hear God talk to me and I know that I now after 17 years of my Dad being gone I can start to heal with God's help.
Courtnie's BIG dance
What could it be???
Well I finally did it! I was able to keep a secret from my daughter and totally surprise her for her 17th birthday!!! So in these pictures were her 3 clues that she got on Jan. 17th. She wasn't sure where she was going with just me and Dave. Not sure she really wanted to go... thinking boot camp...lol She said "no because I would have to pack a bag", I told her maybe I packed one for her. I know mean mom.
1st clue: a box of Hershey's cocoa (okay she guessed what is was Friday night, but totally didn't understand why I wrapped that) You'll find out in a bit
2nd clue: small bear (this to keep her company since she didn't know where she was going, you know like the movie Castaway... Wilson)
Before she got the 3rd clue she was given the option to have the last box or to take the $ and put it towards a car. HHmmmmmm She wants the BOX!!!!!
3rd clue: teeny tiny pink doggie collar with bling. Yes we FINALLY bought her a tea cup yorkie. She was soooooooo shocked and couldn't believe it. We got to the breeders house and she had 4 babies to choose from. She choose the little sweetie that was ready to go home Sat. The whole deal with the clue 1 was she has always wanted a tea cup yorkie and to name her "Cocoa Chanel".
She absolutely LOVES this puppy and is soooooo happy. She decided to name her Gracie instead. Here is a pic of the newest addition to our family...
